Safety & Caution

     (1)  Identification should be done only by experts.  However, even they sometimes make mistakes so extreme caution should be exercised.  One mistake could be your last meal!  There is a mushroom called the "Death Angel" for good reason.  Is it worth your life for a few moments of pleasure?

     (2)  Care for the environment, the animals who live here and the complex balance of plant life, should always be exercised.  This resource is not for our own selfish interest.  The forest is not yours to do with as you please.

Caution

I feel that the consumption of wild mushrooms, fungi, lichen & other wild flora is too dangerous to risk and I strongly advise against eating them.  Leave them to the wildlife who need them for a food source.
