From the road... across the driveway... you see the new vegetable garden. It is between the two oak trees in the left of the field.

Here you see the full area fenced. This will have three rows of six beds when complete sometime in the future... depending on water usage. So far it looks good.

This is the entrance gate and behind me is the Manzanita bushes... driveway... and public road. Fencing is 8 foot with the top wire.

This again is the entrance gate and behind me at some distance... about 300 feet is the house.

This is inside the garden area looking outward. Here you see the first six beds.

This shows a close-up of some of the beds. They are 8 foot by 2 foot and made of redwood.

Each bed is on a central clock timer... and flow control. I'm currently using a soak-er hose running for about ten minutes per bed at low flow at between 9 and 10 PM nightly.

I have two different varieties of tomatoes. One is... Early Girl...

... and the other is... Sun Sugar.

I also have the ability to hand water the area if all else fails... or supplemental water is needed by hand. This still needs a bottom cover for the winter... as you see the bottom shutoff valve.

This is the electric valves. This will have a box cover to protect it from the heat. And the assembly will be removed for the winter to protect from freezing.

And in the pump room... about 150 feet away... is the timer.

This is a view from near the road looking into the field.

This is looking from the other side from the dead tree I had cut this spring.

This is a wide angle shot to showing the the live tree to the left... the stump... and the vegetable garden in the distance.

Not sure how old this tree was... but... I'm guessing about 150 years old.
